Just Rennie’s Catering opened their doors on September 14th, 2003 in downtown Evansville, Indiana.
Marla graduated from the University of Evansville majoring in Business and her husband graduated from The New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, Vermont. He has worked for various food service establishments in Indianapolis, Indiana to Houston, Texas. Chef Doug relocated from Houston to Evansville in January of 1990 to be the Executive Chef for a high-end restaurant called Ashley Grill at the age of 24. He was also the Executive Chef for the Real Bread Company, Rolling Hills Country Club and Victoria National Golf Club.
In September 2005, they opened their 48-seat Tuscan Wine Room at 100 SE 4th Street for Rehearsal Dinners, Corporate Events, Bridal Showers, Baby Showers, Birthday and Anniversary Dinners.
In September 2007, they opened Just Rennie’s Cookie Company at 102 SE 4th Street serving Marla’s Famous Just Rennie’s Cookies and Desserts. Then in April 2008 they expanded to offer various Homemade Deli Salads and Panache Gourmet Coffees.
Also in 2008. Marla decided to offer her Famous Just Rennie’s Cookies online. We can ship to all 50 States and also to the Military Bases. If you call us personally, we can also ship overseas.
In November 2011, they moved into the Old Post Office at 100 NW 2nd Street to cater Wedding Receptions and Corporate Events.
This year Chef Doug and Marla will be celebrating 16 years in business.
