About Matilda's Event Barn and B&B
When my great-great grandparents arrived in 1864, I’m sure it never occurred to them the rolling hills they settled upon would make for a beautiful, private wedding venue. Fast-forward 150+ years, and with the exception of the original 1800's barn (taken down by a tornado in 2015), we have spent the last 14 years restoring the farmhouse and each of the old outbuildings to their original glory.
The new barn, known as "Matilda's", replicates the style of the original barn, and is ready to host the wedding you’ve always dreamed of! Proceed up to the scenic hilltop for your ceremony after spending a relaxing morning in our well-designed his and hers bridal suites. Afterward, make your way down to the patio for cocktail hour prior to your reception and a romantic night of dancing. All in one location. No rushing between ceremony and reception; no downtime for your guests. An all-in-one location means a relaxing, stress-free day for all!
Matilda’s can host up to 250 guests. A/C and in-floor heating ensures your guests are comfortable. Plans for that rainy day make an indoor ceremony a quick alternative if need be.
